Fashion Coolture!

____________________________________________________________________

Fashion Coolture!
One of the coolest dressed fashion bloggers I know!
Her outfits are not simple, but they look great on her.  So of course with such detailed outfits, it would be a shame if I didn't draw her.  Fun and inspiring.  That's Fashion Coolture!

Check her out!

Nordstrom Dress and a Little Kindness

____________________________________________________________________

Hi guys!

Sorry I've been m.i.a. for a couple days.  I just got back from a mini vacation in L.A. and didn't have much time to do any work.  It was always a good time seeing old friends and making new ones too.
I actually have a little story about my plane ride back to Michigan...

It was a two seater plane. I sat next to a girl who happened to be flying for the first time!  I wanted to make her first experience as nice as possible, so told her what she could expect.

We continued to have small talk, while the flight attendant came by with the complimentary drinks.  I ordered OJ, and so did she.  Then we had a chance to purchase snacks on the plane.  She chose the same item I did (hummus and pita chips)  and then she handed the attendant a $10 bill.  He told her that they didn't accept cash and it was credit only unfortunately.  She didn't have a credit card, so I figured I would just buy it for her.  I didn't think it was a big deal, but the flight attendant thought it was a very kind act, and actually secretly handed me a bag of fruit and nuts which was worth more than the hummus and pita chips. The girl seemed very greatful but at the same time she still insisted to pay me back.  So we went back and forth about it, until I gave in.  After I thought about it, I should have just told her to pay it foward.  Oh well, maybe next time I'll do it for another person.

After we landed,  I was hungry again and we stopped at the food court in the Dallas airport that I had layover in.  I went to the Auntie Anne's pretzel station to order a pizza pretzel.  The lady took it out, shook her head, and told me that it wasn't good anymore and if I wanted to wait for a fresh pretzel.  I was pressed for time so I told her I would still take it.  I guess she felt bad, so she offered it to me for free.

I guess, the moral of this story is that you can really impact or touch a person's life by just being kind.
Take one day at a time and be kind to everyone that you meet.  Who knows what will come out of it.
But always do it from the heart not because you will gain something back.  Just be genuine and you will be blessed.

Now that I'm back, I need to start focusing again.  It's always hard after you get used to going out and having fun and then have to adjust back to reality and the fact that I caught a cold doesn't help either.

This quick sketch is of an outfit I saw on the nordstrom website.  It's simple yet cute and ready for summer!

Hope your day was as good as mine!

The Adorable Margaret Zhang!

____________________________________________________________________

The Adorable Margaret Zhang!

I loved drawing her, because of the interesting stripes in her outfit.  Who knew you could pair two similar but different sized stripes in one outfit and make it work?  The orange trench coat gives it the pop of color that it needed as well, and we all know that orange and blue are complimentary colors, so this makes sense.

Hope your day was as bright as mine!  Stay productive!

DO EPIC CHIC with Songofstyle!

____________________________________________________________________

Of course, I had to draw the other Song sister - Aimee!

She always has the best outfits!  Even with a simple t-shirt and jeans, pairing it will a statement necklace and heels make it pop!  I remember when I first discovered fashion bloggers, and Aimee was actually one of the first, if not the first blogger that I ever followed.  I was inspired by her, mainly because of her California influenced style.  And If you knew me, my heart is in L.A!

Another cool thing about following bloggers in the beginning, is being able to see the transformation they go through, and the opportunities that it brings them. It makes you think that you can do it too!  You just need to work hard and keep on grinding.  Keep moving foward towards your dreams.  Hopefully that rings true for me.

Hope you all find that passion that comes within you and work hard to make it work!

Song Dani and Rebecca Minkoff

____________________________________________________________________

It's Song Dani in her awesome wool/leather mix jacket by Rebecca Minkoff!
This was a while ago during the NY Fashion Week spring show, but I still love this coat and the mix of wool and leather with added touches of a bright yellow.  It's different, but at the same time pretty wearable. To add a little urban to the look, Dani pairs it with a long beanie and of course, bringing a bit of L.A. to New York,  she opted for her signature shorts, even in the cold weather! Now that's dedication to fashion.

Speaking of weather, it was just a little over 50 degrees yesterday and pretty sunny here in Michigan, which was great!  But today, I guess Ms. Michigan got mad and decides to dump a couple of inches of snow as revenge...

I'm wishing and hoping spring will come and stay soon.  I'm tired of this cold...

Hope you're feeling a little warmer where you are!

The Man Reller!

____________________________________________________________________

The Man Repeller!

One of the best blogs to read ever.  She's interesting and so witty with her words.
I like her concept of women wearing very fashionable things that other women might find really great, but men on the other hand, do not. In fashion, we women dress more for other women than we do for men anyways, which is funny.
I love her style though, the mixing of menswear and feminine clothing brings the outfits to another level, but I think only certain women can pull it off.  She does so quite well.

What do you think?
Have you ever worn something that repelled men?

The Oscars best dressed 2014

____________________________________________________________________

And the Oscar's best dressed goes to:

Jennifer Lawrence in a astonishing red orange peplum dress by Dior!

Close behind her is Lupita Nyong'o in a beautiful light blue custom gown by Prada!

Both dresses flatter their individual bodies very well.
I especially liked how Jennifer styled her hair with this dress.  It looks effortless!

But Lupita's win was the icing on the cake!  She definitely deserved it and you can tell by her speech that she really appreciated it.  If you have seen 12 years a slave, then you would understand why she was the winner.
Great acting!

There were many other dresses that night that were also very nice, but these were the two I liked best overall, from head to toe.  Not to mention that I'm a fan of Dior and Prada!
Still debating on buying these Prada sunglasses I saw at Neimans...

Anyways, which celebrity was your best dressed?  Tell me in the comments!

Me in Dior Haute Couture

____________________________________________________________________

Dior Haute Couture 2014

This is quite a collection of fun silhouettes in a mostly black and white color scheme.
And not to mention the shoes that compliment the dresses!

It was hard to pick which outfits to draw, but I decided on one black and one white and see how I would look in Haute Dior.
What do you think?  Which one is your favorite?

Until next time!

Big Bang's Tae Yang!

____________________________________________________________________

In the world of Kpop, I present to you Tae yang from Big Bang!
Many people have asked me to draw more male figures, so I thought, who would have more style than a Kpop artist?  Even though the picture I chose for him is a simple suit, his hair makes up for the craziness!

There might be more of these coming up.  Maybe a Kpop collection of my favorite artists.
Maybe more Tae yang  in different stage styles?  Not sure yet.  I usually like to draw whatever I feel inspired to draw at the moment, so it could be anything.

For those of you who are familiar with Kdramas (korean drama series), I just finished watching the series, "Heirs", which is about rich kids who are heirs to their family fortunes and the drama that comes with it.
I'd say if it weren't for the characters in the series, it would be a standard Kdrama with predictable outcomes.   If you're new to Kdramas, then I would say it's pretty good.

May want to check it out if you're interested, and don't forget to turn on the subtitles! :)

Giambattista Valli 2014

____________________________________________________________________

Wow!  The 2014 runway show of Italian designer Giambattista Valli is absolutely gorgeous!
I love that it's so feminine and structural, but yet silhouette is what makes these pieces so stunning.
He really knows how to flatter a woman's body, even with all the intricate details that could make someone look bigger.  By placing volume and creating curves in the right places it really makes the body look like an hourglass.  So genius!

He plays with other silhouettes as well, and they all seem to work great with the material and details that he chooses.  I'm not the biggest fan of floral, but I do like it a lot, especially when it's done well.
These pieces look like a work of art, so I had to draw at least one dress.  I think I'll be drawing more of his dresses, especially the second collection of photos.

What do you think?

T-shirt Concepts?

____________________________________________________________________

So today I was thinking about t-shirts designs, and wanted to see what my drawings would look like on them. This is just for fun though, I wouldn't really put them on tshirts, unless I did something more to them. Maybe I could add some phrases or something that would bring it more alive?  What do you think?
How can I make these more "t-shirt wearable" graphics?

I guess it's back to the drawing board I go!

A Feral Creature

____________________________________________________________________

Recently looking through instagram and came upon Eugenie from Feral Creature blog.
I was most captured by her style and that she can pull off any color hair!  It was fun to draw her, and I would probably draw more in the future.  She just has a unique take on style that isn't boring.

Check her out!

Look it's, Wendy!

_____________________________________________________________________

Wendy from Wendy's lookbook is one of the most sophisticated dressed youtuber/blogger out there. With her quirky and fun personality, you can see that she brings it out into her outfits.  Her style is very classy and clean, but with a dash of fun and flare as well.  Just like this outfit!  It's well kept and well tailored, but the color and cut is what makes it interesting and fun like her personality.

I've been watching her videos on youtube since she started, so I've been following her for a while.
The quality and details that she puts into her videos is even better! They are so creative!

Check her out!

Blush for Neonblush

____________________________________________________________________

Jenny Ong of Neon Blush is one of my favorite bloggers.  I love her style because it's something that I would definitely wear - feminine with a slight edge, she can pull off many looks!

Which is why I couldn't help but draw her, especially with the fluffy white beanie!  Makes me want to get one too.

One another note:  Yesterday was the SUPERBOWL, but the game was TERRIBLE!
Were the Broncos even playing??  I couldn't even watch...sad, sad game.  So this is where Manning is going to leave off...

Did you watch the superbowl?
Who did you root for?  What did you think of the game?!
Love to hear in the comments :)

Haute Fur Outfits!

____________________________________________________________________

Haute Haute Haute!

That's what Vanessa of The Haute Pursuit is!  She has such a cool style, not just in the outfits she wears, but her overall look.  It makes me want to chop off my hair and dye it too, but I'm too chicken :).

I don't think I can pull off the fur coat look, but she does it pretty well.  So well, that I had an itch to draw her!  Check her out at The Haute Pursuit! Enjoy!

The World Is My Oyster

____________________________________________________________________

"The world is my oyster"

Oddly, this quote just randomly popped into my head and is pretty appropriate to what I have been feeling lately.  Basically, I feel like I can have so many opportunities, but I can't grab them fast enough.  There doesn't seem to be enough time in a day anymore.  From daily tasks, work, chores, projects, social life etc., how do you find the time? I just don't want to lose that chance to do something because I wasn't quick enough to jump on the ball.

Life changes, moments pass, and opportunities can slip away.  I need time management, and to figure out what's most important or adds the most value to my life.

I know.  I can't do it all.  *tears*

How do you find the time in your day to do everything?
I need to know!

Side note:  The rendering above is from my ipad on paper by 53 :)
