Me in Dior Haute Couture

____________________________________________________________________

Dior Haute Couture 2014

This is quite a collection of fun silhouettes in a mostly black and white color scheme.
And not to mention the shoes that compliment the dresses!

It was hard to pick which outfits to draw, but I decided on one black and one white and see how I would look in Haute Dior.
What do you think?  Which one is your favorite?

Until next time!

Big Bang's Tae Yang!

____________________________________________________________________

In the world of Kpop, I present to you Tae yang from Big Bang!
Many people have asked me to draw more male figures, so I thought, who would have more style than a Kpop artist?  Even though the picture I chose for him is a simple suit, his hair makes up for the craziness!

There might be more of these coming up.  Maybe a Kpop collection of my favorite artists.
Maybe more Tae yang  in different stage styles?  Not sure yet.  I usually like to draw whatever I feel inspired to draw at the moment, so it could be anything.

For those of you who are familiar with Kdramas (korean drama series), I just finished watching the series, "Heirs", which is about rich kids who are heirs to their family fortunes and the drama that comes with it.
I'd say if it weren't for the characters in the series, it would be a standard Kdrama with predictable outcomes.   If you're new to Kdramas, then I would say it's pretty good.

May want to check it out if you're interested, and don't forget to turn on the subtitles! :)

T-shirt Concepts?

____________________________________________________________________

So today I was thinking about t-shirts designs, and wanted to see what my drawings would look like on them. This is just for fun though, I wouldn't really put them on tshirts, unless I did something more to them. Maybe I could add some phrases or something that would bring it more alive?  What do you think?
How can I make these more "t-shirt wearable" graphics?

I guess it's back to the drawing board I go!

Atlantic Pacific's Outfit Portrait

____________________________________________________________________

As the face of my custom portraits on Etsy,  I really love the simple, yet elegant look from Blair of Atlantic-Pacific's outfit choices.  It's modern because of the crop top, but elegant and classy with the knee length skirt.

l like that the blue skirt makes the outfit pop when contrasted with the neutral top and that she added the chunky gold necklace.  If you know how to accessorize, it really completes a look.  Check her out!

What do you think of this outfit?

Paper Doll created on Paper by 53

____________________________________________________________________

Today, I discovered an app called Paper by 53.  This app, like so many other drawing apps, gives you the ability to draw directly onto your tablet.  for example, the illustration I created above, was done on my ipad 2 with a cheap stylus I bought at a computer store.

I have to say, I've tried many other free drawing apps, and so far this one is my favorite.

Pros:
- You get "sketchbooks" and "journals"  just like you would have in real life.
- They have an option for you to view other people's sketches and ideas for inspiration.
- The tools are very true to life, feel and look.  (For example, a pencil really works and looks like a pencil drawn on paper, and the fountain pen goes from thick to thin)
- The mixer lets you create every color imaginable.
- you can "zoom" in on your drawing to add the smallest details possible.

Cons:
- There's no option to change the size of your tool (then again same in real life)
- No option for opacity
- the "rewind" button is kind of annoying (rather have an undo button)
- There's no pressure sensitivity for strokes
- you have to pay for extra tools

All in all, I would say this app compared to other free apps is an A in my book.

Other neat features:
- They have their own "stylus" pen which sells for about $40 - $50 depending on which one you choose.  It's cool because you have bluetooth technology built in for palm rejection, meaning that the app knows you are holding the pen so that you won't accidentally mark on the paper with your hand/palm/fingers.

-When you've used up your pages in one of the many sketchbooks you have.  You can actually order a physical Moleskin sketchbook with all your drawings/writings/notes printed inside!  So cool!

So, as you can see, I'm really excited about this app!  I was going to order their stylus, but the bluetooth technology only works with ipad minis and ones with retina display...and not for ipad 2s!  BLAH.

If you want more info just check out their website: http://www.fiftythree.com
And no they didn't tell me to write this...I just like the app!

Anyways, expect more ipad drawings from me!  I'll probably switch it up once in a while. laters!

I Love My Dog

____________________________________________________________________

I love my dog, don't you?

And who wouldn't want a cute whimsical drawing of their pet?
My Etsy shop is now open, and I just put up a listing for "custom pet portraits" like the samples above.

Go to:  etsy.com/shop/bumbleanddee

For custom drawings of your pet and more!

It took me a while to put this up since there's just so much I needed to get done so that I have more content to post.  My body aches and I'm mentally exhausted...but if you want to succeed you have to keep on going!

Like a little fish said, "Just keep swimmimg...just keep swimming.."

I can't swim, but I'll keep on running!

What's your motivation?

Power Couple in Black - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie!

____________________________________________________________________

Celebrity Wednesday!

Last years duo all in black!
Valentine's is coming up and love is in the air.
Brad is always dapper in a clean black suit, while Angelina plays it classy in a velvet draped gown.

Even though this was last years outfits, it still looks relevant today.
I love classic clean looks, don't you?

Good Night with Pooh

____________________________________________________________________

Hello!

You all probably noticed something different about this post.  Yes...I finally hooked up my scanner!
At first, I was going to buy an all-in-one printer with a scanner built in, but realized that I already had one from awhile ago.  I remembered seeing it in the basement, so I took up and installed the software for it, which took a long time after a few failed attempts! When everything was finally installed, I tested the scanner and voila! it works perfectly!!  Now I have better looking images for my posts!

New format - clear colorful images with a digital watermark.

It's been a long day and I'm ready to crash with my Pooh bear :)

Everyday is a chance for improvement. There's always room for better.

Cozy cabin sweater

___________________________________________________________________

Today I found a cute sweater on the Urban Outfitter's instagram page. It has a unique, kitschy graphic which I like, and reminds me of my favorite holiday!  Christmas. There are so many good memories related to this holiday that just looking at this sweater makes me feel happy.

Do you ever get a happy feeling when a clothing item reminds you of a good memory?
If so, let me know in the comments!

Late Night Outfit

____________________________________________________________________

Here's a late night outfit I put together.  Something comfy and cozy that I would wear in the spring time.
Add on leggings and knee high boots for winter appropriate wear.

Reminiscent of the college days.

Topshop Jacket = Chinese Merchant

____________________________________________________________________

Topshop is one of my favorite places to shop after Zara.  It' s a bit on the pricey side, but if you go to their sale section you could probably score a cool item or two.  Today I picked out this unusual silhouette wool jacket, which runs about $170.  What actually caught my eye, was the color.  I love the color chartreuse! However, after sketching the coat and drawing the hair in that style, the what was suppose to be a "chic" look, became a chinese merchant look.... sigh.

Oh well!  Even though it didn't really turn out the way I wanted...I put it up anyways.
What would you wear with this jacket? Let me know!

Flower Power Plaid Mix

____________________________________________________________________

What a simple flower graphic, yet it makes a statement.  I won't particularly wear this t-shirt, but I thought it was fun to draw and see how it looked.  The plaid definitely adds a little bit of prep.  If you paired it with a leather align skirt, it would be a totally different look.

What would you wear with this flower print?
Let me know!

Ooh La La Shorts Suit!

____________________________________________________________________

Helloooo!

Tonight, I am wearing Forever 21 again, but how could I not?   I'm always a sucker for blazers paired with shorts, but not just any type of shorts, they have a little "flare"!

Hope you all had a great week!  Mine has been very productive as you can see.  The blog is almost there, just a little bit of tweaking and it should be complete soon...hopefully.

How's your week going?  Tomorrow's Friday and then it's the weekend!  What will you be doing?!
As always...

What Did the Fox Say?!

____________________________________________________________________

Hello!

Today my outfit is also from Forever 21!  It's a cute fox sweater paired with a red and black plaid skirt.
It's still simple and comfortable to wear, but still looks like you put some effort into it.  you might not think that a fox print and plaid would be a usual combination, but it works because of the color tones.  Any neutral (black, tan, grey, white)  can be mixed with any pattern or color and still look like it goes together!  As for the shoes, I opted for a brown and black knee high Hunter boot for more warmth!

So what did the fox say?  Is this a yay or nay?
Let me know below!
