Nordstrom Dress and a Little Kindness

____________________________________________________________________

Hi guys!

Sorry I've been m.i.a. for a couple days.  I just got back from a mini vacation in L.A. and didn't have much time to do any work.  It was always a good time seeing old friends and making new ones too.
I actually have a little story about my plane ride back to Michigan...

It was a two seater plane. I sat next to a girl who happened to be flying for the first time!  I wanted to make her first experience as nice as possible, so told her what she could expect.

We continued to have small talk, while the flight attendant came by with the complimentary drinks.  I ordered OJ, and so did she.  Then we had a chance to purchase snacks on the plane.  She chose the same item I did (hummus and pita chips)  and then she handed the attendant a $10 bill.  He told her that they didn't accept cash and it was credit only unfortunately.  She didn't have a credit card, so I figured I would just buy it for her.  I didn't think it was a big deal, but the flight attendant thought it was a very kind act, and actually secretly handed me a bag of fruit and nuts which was worth more than the hummus and pita chips. The girl seemed very greatful but at the same time she still insisted to pay me back.  So we went back and forth about it, until I gave in.  After I thought about it, I should have just told her to pay it foward.  Oh well, maybe next time I'll do it for another person.

After we landed,  I was hungry again and we stopped at the food court in the Dallas airport that I had layover in.  I went to the Auntie Anne's pretzel station to order a pizza pretzel.  The lady took it out, shook her head, and told me that it wasn't good anymore and if I wanted to wait for a fresh pretzel.  I was pressed for time so I told her I would still take it.  I guess she felt bad, so she offered it to me for free.

I guess, the moral of this story is that you can really impact or touch a person's life by just being kind.
Take one day at a time and be kind to everyone that you meet.  Who knows what will come out of it.
But always do it from the heart not because you will gain something back.  Just be genuine and you will be blessed.

Now that I'm back, I need to start focusing again.  It's always hard after you get used to going out and having fun and then have to adjust back to reality and the fact that I caught a cold doesn't help either.

This quick sketch is of an outfit I saw on the nordstrom website.  It's simple yet cute and ready for summer!

Hope your day was as good as mine!
